Kelly Rowland and Her Boob Job

Yes it's true, she really did go for it. Not that it's bad or anything. I mean, a woman does feel a lot better if she feels that she looks good in whatever she's wearing and well she wanted to fill in a dress. Even though her breast size didn't go up that much, she feels content to have a B-cup now instead of being an A-cup forever. Good thing she went for a B-cup instead of a D-cup. She sure knows what suits her. AP reports that she had her breast augmentation last October.

Samantha Power Resigns after Monster Calling

The headline pretty much says all of it. after calling Hillary Clinton a monster during an interview with the Scotsman newspaper and apologizing for it, Samantha Power resigns from being Barack Obama's foreign policy advisor.

She was in London doing a book tour and as advisor to Obama she was also trying to raise funds for Obama. As one of Obama's dedicated supporters, she took almost a year off from being a professor at Harvard to work in Obama's office in the Senate. She is very involved in policy, youth outreach as she is a popular campus speaker and also very involved in fundraising for Obama.

Samantha Power is also a Pulitzer prize winning author for her book about genocide.

Samantha Power Calls Hillary a Monster

Who is Samantha Power, you ask? She's Senator Barack Obama's advisor. According to Associated Press, Samantha Power made the comments during an interview with the Scotsman newspaper.

Samantha Power was quoted as saying,

"We f***d up in Ohio," Power told the Scottish daily, referring to the Illinois senator's loss to the former first lady in the midwestern state in Tuesday's primary.

"In Ohio, they are obsessed and Hillary is going to town on it, because she knows Ohio's the only place they can win," Power was quoted as saying.

"She is a monster, too -- that is off the record -- she is stooping to anything," Power said.

"You just look at her and think 'Ergh.'"

Well now, she's apologizing,

"These comments do not reflect my feelings about Senator Clinton, whose leadership and public service I have long admired," Power said in her statement

"I should not have made these comments and I deeply regret them. It is wrong for anyone to pursue this campaign in such negative and personal terms.

"I apologize to Senator Clinton and to Senator Obama, who has made very clear that these kinds of expressions should have no place in American politics."

Guess things are really starting to heat up.

An Actual Moby Dick?

Well, what do you know.. The legendary white killer whale really does exist. Not saying that this whale's name is actually Moby Dick from the book, but scientists may have found an albino whale in Alaska's Aleutian Islands.

Holly Fearnbach, who photographed the rare event says that it was quite neat to find it. When news of a white killer whale making appearances last month in the Aleutian Islands, scientists, researchers and ship crew members started scrambling for their cameras and probably haven't let go since.

AIDS Medicine For Less

How many of you know that medication for AIDS can be bought cheaper now? Not in the US or Asia, right? Actually, AIDS has become a lot easier to manage now. Among the very rare times that I watched TV, I once watched a show about AIDS and people who have it in the US. It was the Oprah show and they had Magic Johnson on it. The awareness for AIDS is widespread now, but unfortunately, since there is medicine for AIDS and that it's gotten more manageable, a lot of people don't mind even having it anymore.
But it's not easy having something that a lot more people still condemn.

In the US, if you have it, you're branded as someone who sleeps with anybody recklessly. Even if people don't know how you got it, people just assume that you got it through sexual contact with a lot of people. In Africa, it's already been established that if you have it, it was due to your lack of knowledge. The same in Asia, except in those places were civilization is "modern".

In Asia and Africa, however, a lot of the AIDS-infected ones are children. In most cases, they inherited their condition from their parents. These children live in orphanages if they are lucky. And in orphanages, they don't really get to eat too much unless donations are good.

Krisana Kraisintu, a Thai pharmaceutical chemist has found a way to make generic AIDS and malaria medicine, and she's getting them to people that need them the most. Her generic ARVs(antiretrovirals) are 18 times cheaper than the branded medicines and instead of taking 6 pills a day, you would only have to take 2 per day. As of now, she's helping those that she can in Africa, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Wish there were more people like her. It's just a shame that not a lot of people know about her cause. She's 56 now, and hopefully, those that she's training or have trained are as equally capable as her in making the drugs. Let's just hope that people wouldn't abuse this opportunity to live for those who really need the drugs. Let's help spread some more awareness.

Taylor Swift - I'd Lie

Yes, it's Country music. I still wonder why a lot of people say they hate Country music even though they actually like it in some way. Probably because there're way too many famous people who said they hate the music. I first heard this song on the The Official Richness message boards. And I mean the Real Official Richness boards and not the other one that claimed the name "The Official Richness". I've never heard the song played in Philippine Radio, but that's only because I don't have a radio. Well, my mp4 player has radio, but since we busted my radio back in 2003 for a project, I've never really listened much to the radio.

Got off-track again. Ugh. Anyway, the song talks of a girl loving a boy secretly. The tune's catchy in my opinion, and I have sung along to it and played it countless times on my mp3 player on my desktop and laptop, but all of a sudden, everytime I hear the intro to the song, I just feel like changing the song to the next. I found out that after a while, the song gets annoying. But if I'm not close to any of my music players, it gets less anoying and I give in and sing along to it again.

David Hernandez - Former Stripper

This year's batch has a lot of secrets, apparently. First there was Carly Hennessy/Smithson's being a recording artist already, then Kristy Lee Cook's album still on iTunes. Now it's David Hernandez. Point is, American Idol is supposedly a talent show for the undiscovered, and well, with all the vocally-gifted contestants, most of this year's batch isn't quite undiscovered. But this entry's not about that. There's an ongoing buzz about David Hernandez being gay, but it hasn't been proven yet. But it is true that he did work at a strip club in Arizona, called Dick's Cabaret, and appeared fully nude and did lap dances for the "mostly male" clientele.

Well, I don't know how that makes him gay. For all we know he just wanted to work like the rest of us. But that's none of my business now. According to the manager, Hernandez worked there for three years straight until September 30, 2007. And this was because he never renewed his licensing.

VoteForTheWorst.com sure got a lot of buzz with this whole shebang last week and has been getting a lot of letters confirming that David Hernandez was indeed a former stripper. It was just all rumors, but since Associated Press confirmed the news, I guess it can't be called a rumor anymore. I wonder how this entire thing's going to affect his standings on the show. And well, this last photo was taken from his Photobucket, which he so graciously left public for everyone to see.

Pizza Yumminess

Image from Flickr

Okay, I just gave myself away. If you've read through my blog, you'd know that I'm a food health freak. And well, pizza can only be considered fat food and junk food. Of all the junk foods though, I love pizza the most. And even if I really do love pizza the most, that doesn't mean that I indulge in pizza as much as I want to. In the Philippines, pizza, especially the good ones, cost a lot of money. So I only have pizza once in every great while.

UFC 82 Results

The Ultimate Fighting Championship or UFC as we know it. It's a bloody battle between men in the Octagon. It's the Championship between Anderson Silva and Dan Henderson. Now who won the Championship?

The scoreboard says that Henderson was leading, much to Silva's disadvantage, but it was Silva who won the match. How, you ask? because he trapped Henderson in a choke so forceful that Henderson had no other choice bu to tap out. Isn't that a bummer? Henderson leading and yet losing.

How it happened...

The beginning of the fight totally sucked, since they weren't doing anything. Henderson attacked first, then Silva retaliates with kicks. Henderson was totally offensive in the first round and won it 10-9. In the second round, Silva connected first with a hard kick. Henderson tries to do a takedown but Silva got on top. There was an exchange of punches, and a knee by Silva. More trading of punches. Henderson falls and scored with an elbow and gives body blows while on top. Henderson tries to do an elbow block, but Silva throws punches to the side of Henderson's head. Henderson spins around and Silva throws more elbows. Henderson got more punches and elbows to the side of the head. Silva then goes for a choke while time was running out, putting Henderson in more trouble and gets Henderson to tap out in 4:52 of round two.

Anderson Silva remains the Champion.

How to Get 100,000 Page Views Everyday

Ever heard of Search Engine Optimization? Or even just indexing your site URL to search engines, and not just the top search engines? One question first.

Do you even know how many search engines the Internet has and that to have effective indexing, you have to submit your site URL to every single one of them? Seriously, it's crazy if you are going to have to go to every single one just to index your site. I noticed something, though. The longer your site is around, and the more unique visits your get, the higher you move up on the search engine searches. Yes, it's true. I made the The Richness site and just index it in the top two search engines, namely Yahoo! and Google. That's it. It's been up since September 2007, and well, even if it's not updated, since Chris Richardson's career is going slow right now, but it's still going somewhere, it somehow managed to get itself a PR1/10 ranking. And whenever you do a search on the two search engines, the site's always first on the search pages.

I'll be ecstatic if my blog gets on the first page. Anyway, back to the question. It obviously takes patience, lots of time before you can get 100,000 page views everyday. A lot of advertisement too. Well, I'm hoping somehow you understood my point there.

Good luck to us all.

Blogger Break

You might have noticed that my number of posts which have been increasing gradually has suddenly dropped. And for those who know me from a local forum might be wondering why I haven't posted so much lately. Errr, even my boyfriend could be wondering what I've been doing with my time recently.

Well, I'm on a break from my life. I've gone into seclution and the only way I'm posting is through typing on my Internet-less laptop, right after studying and before bedtime. And I just copy and paste my entries from a saved file. Of course, Saturdays are study break days for me still. I'm gonna be turning down writing gigs, because they require research, and research would require me to get on the Internet, and Internet possesses me to a point that I will be spending so long a time on there like 12 hours long, and my bf is on the Internet too, and as I told him long ago, he is my biggest distraction. Thing is, I'm easily distracted and end up procrastinating, which is something I don't like.

My first priority is studying for the upcoming board exam in May, and surprisingly, my lazy self hasn't been lazy anymore for a week now. And trust me, when I say lazy, I mean LAZY. BF is fine with me ignoring him for the moment, as long as he gets his "I Love You" videos, short clips of me just saying I Love You. Well, shows I don't forget about him even for a day.

Okay, readers (if I have any), I'll be back.
