If you checked back about a couple of months back on this blog, you might have noticed a post about Criss Angel. Well, I guess I can call myself a fan, not really a die-hard fan, but a fan, nonetheless. When I was a kid, I never knew any magicians at all, but I heard about Harry Houdini, being the best escape-ologist and all, so they say. But usually magicians just don't make them appreciate them the way they wanna be appreciated. If I were a kid, I probably would, but when I saw Criss Angel perform some of his illusions, I was entertained. I've watched some of his interviews and found out that some of the illusions are real and some of them are staged. But I don't really care. I'm all up for the entertainment from him. The stunts that he performs are dangerous and intriguing. It's just like nothing you've seen before. I've watched his videos from his TV show, but I've always wanted to see him perform live. And one can go see him perform at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas.
Criss Angel also works with Cirque du Soleil and he has a show called CRISS ANGEL Believe. You can buy your tickets online at the Cirque du Soleil's website. They also had a text contest running for US and Canada residents, but it closed just on the 14th of June. If it was still open, all you had to do was text the word 'Believe' to 22122 to win a pair of tickets to the show. So the next time you come to Las Vegas, hop by the Luxor and let Criss Angel mystify you.

Quite a few posts back, I said that I'm going to watch the movie even if I have to go all alone. And I did.
Watching a movie all by your lonesome is no fun, but that depends on you being used to being lonely. And I am pretty much very used to doing things alone. But really, I had things to do that day and wasn't expecting to be done with it so quickly.
Ok, I was totally ignoring the main character, which I supposed was the white guy, whom I've never even seen before. He was nerdy-looking in my opinion, or maybe he could've looked better in other movies or shows, I just didn't care about him. I went to watch the movie because I wanted to see Jet Li and Jackie Chan.
Anyway, so what do I think about it? Well, it wasn't the kind of movie that would compete with stunts from the Spiderman and Mission Impossible movies. Those stunts are very thought of and they used weapons. In The Forbidden Kingdom, all the action was pure martial arts, in short, you don't fake any of it. Sure, you can assist the effects and make them look like you were flying, but the martial arts is still feasible. And in martial arts, execute them properly and fast enough, you can actually be flying for a couple meters.
I'm so stuck at the fight scene that Jet Li and Jackie Chan had. The Praying Mantis was shown with such grace by Jet Li, and Jackie Chan did the Tiger. Errr, you gotta watch it to appreciate it. The scenery was really nice, bamboos in China, the stream, the pink cotton bushes... They looked like cherry blossom trees, but they were too small and looked like bushes. The movie was full enough of beautiful scenes for you to appreciate it.
The special effects with the chi generating Jade warlord was excellent actually, you can't even tell if it wasn't real. That was how well-blended the technology was with the movie. I'm pretty sure I've seen the girl on their team before, she had a show here in the Philippines during prime time, and well I didn't realize how skinny and tall she was until the movie. She usually wore a kimono in her TV show. :)
Jackie Chan was a drunk in the movie and I just couldn't help but think about how long he has been in the movies that he was constantly referred to as an old man in the movie. I never thought he would actually grow as old as he is now.
It was weird on my part to see Jet Li act as The Monkey King. The Monkey King was an enchanting character, with his mischievousness and naughty demeanor. But then again, Jet Li played a serious monk as well. And I was very surprised to see him laughing at the main character when he first met the main character. Who would think that Jet Li can laugh out loud?
Anyway, so there you go. I enjoyed the movie and I went all alone. So if you're gonna go with somebody, you're gonna enjoy it even better.

I have never heard of Criss Angel in my entire life, until one day I was on The Richness Forums chatting with my loves, Pinkislove00 and Storie, and Pink talks about Criss Angel. I was like, "Criss who?". Then I found out that he's an American with Greek lineage illusionist. The only American illusionist I knew was David Blaine. I'll never forget the illusion he made with taking his heart out. Sick. Poor Carson Daly was cringing. I did a little research and well, turns out David's more of an endurance master rather than an illusionist. Criss Angel, however, just amazes me. Seriously. Getting rolled on by a steamroller, hit by a car through a block wall, walking on water, getting cut in half by a 4-foot saw, and even getting nailed into a coffin which was shredded in a wood chipper with him inside and surviving it. I was shaking after I saw the last video. He's a Mindfreak, alright! He didn't get out of that coffin, the coffin got shredded, and you can even see the "blood, crushed bones and pulp" come out of the wood chipper chute. His wife at the time and mother was freaking out. They expected him to get out of the coffin, but he didn't. Check the video out on youtube, I'm not gonna post it on here. It was definitely not for the faint of heart. But this one, just blows your mind! Watch the video, he levitates from building to building. I'd like to learn that!

When you are just starting out in your career in the Entertainment scene, you need as much buzz as you can get, right? But what if you get a little bit too much press exposure? Would you want it? Sad to say, those who get the most exposure in this business are the ones who are more known because of how they act and not because of their talents in entertaining. Here are the top 15 overexposed celebrities of 2007 according to Forbes. Average celebrities only get 2% or 3% overexposure ratings*. These celebs are way over that.
1. Britney Spears
Overexposure rating: 72%
No surprise there. She was once the most sought-after young artist, and her musical talent was once praised by the whole world. She was all over the press for being such a good role model, but that was ten years ago. Now her every move and strange behavior is what keeps the paps moving after her and these are the only things getting her exposure now.
2. Paris Hilton
Overexposure rating: 68%
The Heiress, A Simple Life, Sex Scandal, DUI, need I really say more?
3. Kevin Federline
Overexposure rating: 54%
Very well-known through his marriage and divorce with number one, Britney Spears, which only hurt his "budding" career, as his debut album only got very harsh criticizing and umm, embarrassing sales.
4. Tom Cruise
Overexposure rating: 53%
Whatever happened to Tom? How come his name is still making the headlines even when he doesn't have any movies out currently? This is all due to being married to Katie Holmes, his religion, and of course, the never-ending popularity of his couch jump on the Oprah Winfrey show. But fans can keep on the lookout for him, he's supposed to be doing a movie soon enough.
5. Nicole Richie
Overexposure rating: 52%
Another girl gone wild. Various relationships, getting uber skinny, etc, etc, etc. And fans of A Simple Life should watch out for the fifth season.
6. Lindsay Lohan
Overexposure rating: 48%
Not sure I need to elaborate. Well, if it's true that she's changing for the better, I guess all I can say is good luck.
7. Michael Jackson
Overexposure rating: 47%
There is too much going on in this man's life. And now he wants a 50-foot robotic replica of himself in Las Vegas.
8. Donald Trump
Overexposure rating: 47%
I don't know much about this guy, except that he's filthy rich, berates Rosie O'Donnell for everything and that I wish he'd change his hair-do.
9. Terrell "T.O." Owens
Overexposure rating: 45%
Always has a controversy every season. That's probably his motto. Overdosing on pain pills and spitting in someone's face. Well, that's sure to get you some attention.
10. Howard K. Stern
Overexposure rating: 45%
He's best known as the late Anna Nicole Smith's attorney-turned-lover, and also her baby daddy.
11. Sanjaya Malakar
Overexposed rating: 44%
More exposed than the American Idol herself, Jordin Sparks? And to think he was 7th. Looks like there are a lot of Fanjayas in the press too. He's getting so popular that he's in magazines, on talk shows and even getting an invite to the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
12. Jessica Simpson
Overexposed rating: 42%
Everything about her is public, she hasn't done anything big enough to make news or anything, but she continues to be in the tabloids because of her relationships and "being a dumb blonde".
13. Howard Stern
Overexposed rating: 41%
I have no clue who this guy is at all. A little reading up on him just gave me this info: he made $500 Million in five years when he made the move to Sirius Satellite Radio. I don't wanna Google that, this post is long enough as it is.
14. Rosie O'Donnell
Overexposed rating: 38%
Way too many controversies, and the thing with Donald Trump's helping too.
15. Sean "Diddy" Combs
Overexposed rating: 38%
Being in the music industry, changing names, relationships, parties and his very public life all makes this possible. They say that nobody can host a party better than this man.
FINALLY!

Anyway, Chris and Rihanna keep on insisting that they are not dating each other, and that they are both single. Commitment issues, maybe? Rihanna, 20, says that Chris is like 10 and that he's like a brother to her. A brother that she fools around with? Ummm, no thanks. And Chris says that he's just 18 and only wants to live his life and have fun.
Well, looks like Jordin Sparks has a chance after all. ^_^

He's 18, got Rihanna on his arm and very much talented. No, I'm not one of those girls who claim to be in love with him, but I do love one of his songs, "With You". It's been playing for a very long while now, but I keep on forgetting to feature it on my blog, but now that I have, I'd like to know if people actually appreciate it as much as I do. Enjoy the vid!
P.S.
Chris Brown \,,/!

I've been listening to it for quite some time now and I still haven't gotten tired of it.
It's a sad song, and well, the saddest songs are what lasts in the music scene. Check out the video, I'm sure lots of you can relate to it.

OMG, Christopher Michael Richardson, you finally got it out! I've heard about three versions of the song already, and was not expecting the actual recorded version to turn out to be well, good, in my taste. I don't really know when or if I'll get tired of the song, but this song can stick to you, because the melody's so easy to sing along with. He has sung this song on a couple of different occasions and when he did, The Richness were always spazzing at how he liked changing the arrangement of the song. Really, must he do that all the time? Doesn't he know that his loyal fans get all crazy when he does that and even crazier when he does things like post pictures of himself on MySpace? I mean, look at those aviators! Umm, sorry, rambling now, hahah. Anyway, go check out Chris Richardson's MySpace Page and listen to his first ever released single "All Alone", which by the way, you can get on iTunes--later on. For now, it's available on Amazon. It's got a free picture of Chris Richardson on it too. And he also put up a sample of the next single that he will be releasing, Guilty. Oh, and check out Blake Lewis' comment to him. Funny guy, I can barely understand what he said. Haha.
For more Chris Richardson craziness, check out The Richness and for even more Chris Richardson craziness, go to the The Richness Forums.

Yes it's true, she really did go for it. Not that it's bad or anything. I mean, a woman does feel a lot better if she feels that she looks good in whatever she's wearing and well she wanted to fill in a dress. Even though her breast size didn't go up that much, she feels content to have a B-cup now instead of being an A-cup forever. Good thing she went for a B-cup instead of a D-cup. She sure knows what suits her. AP reports that she had her breast augmentation last October.

This year's batch has a lot of secrets, apparently. First there was Carly Hennessy/Smithson's being a recording artist already, then Kristy Lee Cook's album still on iTunes. Now it's David Hernandez. Point is, American Idol is supposedly a talent show for the undiscovered, and well, with all the vocally-gifted contestants, most of this year's batch isn't quite undiscovered. But this entry's not about that. There's an ongoing buzz about David Hernandez being gay, but it hasn't been proven yet. But it is true that he did work at a strip club in Arizona, called Dick's Cabaret, and appeared fully nude and did lap dances for the "mostly male" clientele.
Well, I don't know how that makes him gay. For all we know he just wanted to work like the rest of us. But that's none of my business now. According to the manager, Hernandez worked there for three years straight until September 30, 2007. And this was because he never renewed his licensing.
VoteForTheWorst.com sure got a lot of buzz with this whole shebang last week and has been getting a lot of letters confirming that David Hernandez was indeed a former stripper. It was just all rumors, but since Associated Press confirmed the news, I guess it can't be called a rumor anymore. I wonder how this entire thing's going to affect his standings on the show. And well, this last photo was taken from his Photobucket, which he so graciously left public for everyone to see.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship or UFC as we know it. It's a bloody battle between men in the Octagon. It's the Championship between Anderson Silva and Dan Henderson. Now who won the Championship?
The scoreboard says that Henderson was leading, much to Silva's disadvantage, but it was Silva who won the match. How, you ask? because he trapped Henderson in a choke so forceful that Henderson had no other choice bu to tap out. Isn't that a bummer? Henderson leading and yet losing.
How it happened...
The beginning of the fight totally sucked, since they weren't doing anything. Henderson attacked first, then Silva retaliates with kicks. Henderson was totally offensive in the first round and won it 10-9. In the second round, Silva connected first with a hard kick. Henderson tries to do a takedown but Silva got on top. There was an exchange of punches, and a knee by Silva. More trading of punches. Henderson falls and scored with an elbow and gives body blows while on top. Henderson tries to do an elbow block, but Silva throws punches to the side of Henderson's head. Henderson spins around and Silva throws more elbows. Henderson got more punches and elbows to the side of the head. Silva then goes for a choke while time was running out, putting Henderson in more trouble and gets Henderson to tap out in 4:52 of round two.
Anderson Silva remains the Champion.

For those of you who don't know Jordin Sparks, well she's the latest American Idol so far and the youngest to boot. At 17, she pwned all the other contestants such as Melinda Doolittle, Blake Lewis, LaKisha Jones, Chris Richardson, Phil Stacey, Sanjaya Malakar, Haley Scarnato, Chris Sligh and Gina Glocksen.
Her single, Tattoo, did good, but apparently not good enough for most critics. I thought Tattoo was good and even sung to it for quite a while, still do whenever I hear it, but I don't play it as often anymore. However, I do play her other single more often then most of the songs that I have on my playlist.
I admit it, I love No Air with Chris Brown. And, umm, well, I love Chris Brown too. Tee-hee. Sue me. Anyway, one of her fansites on MySpace posted the official video to No Air as a bulletin. I run a Chris Richardson fansite, but it seems there are more Jordin Sparks fansites, which is absolutely fine with me, and they love adding me. Oh well.
Let's just hope Jordin's career blossoms just like Kelly Clarkson's and Carrie Underwood's, and hope she doesn't end up like Taylor Hicks and Ruben Studdard. I don't know what happened to Fantasia, though. I heard she sings with LaKisha now, but I have no idea where. Anyway, here's her video, No Air. Enjoy!

I cannot stop listening to it. I love the song. I'm a music junkie like everyone else, but I haven't been listening to the radio for fear of getting distracted by the latest music being played out there. I get easily distracted and end up procrastinating when I'm not supposed to. I have to be fully focused on my studies right now.
I first heard the song "Please Don't Stop the Music" when I was looking for videos of Arianalynn dancing on YouTube. Arianalynn is a little Asian kid who can dance. I included a link so you can watch her dance to Flo Rida and T-Pain's "Low". In the video, she's practicing with her trainer, Tony Czar. When I saw her dance to Low, I was already jealous, because I stopped dancing at about her age. Anyway, on the video, they were just dancing to the chorus, but I already liked the beat, but decided to procrastinate and not get the mp3 until I heard it on the radio of a tricycle passing by. So I got motivated to download it and well, now I can't stop myself from listening to it. I'm hooked.
I was already hooked on Rihanna since her single, SOS, but she just makes you like her music even more with every release. Other Rihanna songs that I can't stop playing from my playlist are "Hate that I Love You" and "Good Girl Gone Bad".
I've always told bf that I hate that I love him, which is true, because well, when I love, I give it all. Ugh, fool for love. I know I should keep something for myself, but oh well. If I get hurt again, I should be able to get up stronger again. So when I first heard "Hate That I Love You", I felt like fate is playing with me. Then guess what, bf calls and tells me that he heard a song that reminded him of me. And yes, it's that song. I guess we finally have a song now. For the meantime, at least.
So, Rihanna, please don't stop the music.

William Joseph Martin "Billy" Joel is an American singer-songwriter. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, he is the sixth best-selling recoding artist in the United States.
Wow, if he's so popular, how come I never heard of him? Well, I'm apparently out of the loop since Google Trends has listed the search on his as "Volcanic" hotness. Now that's hot. Ok, so maybe I've never heard of his name or maybe I just really didn't mind about the artist's name every time I'd listen to a song. So I might have loved his songs when I was still a little baby and has completely forgotten about it already.
After Googling for some of his music, I finally found a very familiar tune. And yes, I am confirming that my presumption is indeed correct. I have loved some of his songs, I just didn't know him. He sang, "Honesty", and well, truthfully, even if I was still a baby when I first heard that song, I still remember the words. Now I'm feeling so nostalgic. I'm actually listening to "Honesty" right now.
Is such a lonely word
Where everyone is so untrue
Honesty
Is hardly ever heard..."
Ok, so now I'm a fan. Haha. Just this morning in the US, tickets go on sale for his final concert at Shea Stadium on July 16th this year. The tickets are priced at $52.50 and $98 and has been on sale for approximately 2 hours already. If you're a fan and would like to go, you may call (718) 507-TIXX or visit 507TIXX.com.
